Five Nights at Freddy's News Round Up May 23, 2025

Five Nights at Frickbear's 3

Dorbledoo, the developer of the game shared insights into the ongoing progress of Five Nights at Frickbear's 3. For the character part, there are 47/40 characters and only few characters' voice lines left and the one recent addition who still needs their render drawn.

Two of the game's routes are complete, currently only need the final balancing and polish. These include a basic route and a more challenging version of it. Most of the remaining development will focus on the other story routes, which are still in progress.
"In addition, other stuff such as all the shop items, upgrades, minigames, and sidequests for the special animatronics involved in Vanny's route are finished too. While the game has been technically playable from start to finish for a little while, it's now at a point where every animatronic and mechanic at a player's disposal on a normal run is accessible and visually complete." Dorbledoo added.

He's also interested to your opinion whether you prefer a lighter version of the game sooner (1-2 months) that contains fully realized main route with the remaining contents arriving in the future updates, or wait for up to a whole year for the full game, complete with all story route and planned content available from the release. SHOWMAN'S: The Awakening

Recently, the developer Iz faced a difficult time due to a painful boil, which understandably affected their ability to work on the game for over a week. He's back and expresses gratitude for the community's support and understanding during this time.

Iz commitment to delivering a quality experience and reassure fans that development is ongoing, albeit at a pace that accommodates their well-being, and guess what? The release of the game is getting very closed! It was planned for May, but then Iz decided to take a bit more time to make some extra adjustments and polish things further, aiming to make this game the best it can be. Currently is set on June 2025 release.

In case if you don't know, Iz created Phobia: The Awakening back in 2021, a well-received game known for its intense horror atmosphere, unique design, and compelling story. I believe this one will not disappointing too!

Ultimate Custom Night Plus

Ultimate Custom Night Plus is a UCN remake that added visual improvements, special features and new contents like new office, power ups, characters, additional cutscenes, and more! Another exciting feature is the ability to switch character skins. For example, you can change the Golden Freddy to wear the withered suit from FNAF 2, and it also came with new death scene (sample footage).
Many game screens and teasers are gradually added to the game updates, and there's also a beta demo is available, check out the Ultimate Custom Night Plus game page here.

Dead by Daylight - Springtrap

Here's a little off topic update, the Dead by Daylight x FNAF collab event updated: "May 27 at 11AM ET for our dev stream as we dive deeper into the Five Nights at Freddy's Chapter, and give the PTB a try starting at 12PM ET."

DarkTaurus FNAF fangames' save files (update overtime)

Sometimes, due to computer repairs, hardware changes, or file corruption, I end up losing save files that I spent a lot of time playing. So now, I'm going to back up as many game saves as possible here, just in case the same problem happens again. Since they've been uploaded, I’d like to share them with you as well. Note: 1. All saves have completed the main story, but not all have 100% completion (e.g., challenge modes, custom nights, achievements). 2. Save file locations are based on the version I’m playing and might change in an update. SHOWMAN'S: The Awakening release was ahead of schedule

One of the best Five Nights at Freddy's fangames, especially in term of scariness, this is one of my top 3 of all time! SHOWMAN'S: The Awakening is developed by Iz with Blender, a remastered version of Phobia: The Awakening (2021), originally expected to be released in June 2025 , it ended up launching at the end of May. The version features overhauled models and introduces new characters to replace those originally based on The Wiggles . This not only gave the developer more creative freedom but also helped avoid potential legal issues tied to using copyrighted characters. While the original Phobia version is still available, but you never know how long that might last… The gameplay follows a little bit of FNAF 2 style and FNAF 6 (salvage minigame), five nights + one boss fight on Night 6, just like the Phobia version. However, this time Night 6 introduces a new mechanic, instead of the mask, you use a flashlight to defend yourself and to look around in a dark room. You can al...
