POPGOES Evergreen

NeeTroo, the creator of a major FNAF fangame in 2021 - Tealerland, is now working with the official POPGOES Evergreen team.

"NeeTroo will be, for the most part, handling environmental models that will appear in the post-night sections of Evergreen. But on top of that, they will be helping with DESIGNING some of the rooms - something we've been struggling with big-time recently. I gave NeeTroo one of the room bases and asked them to sketch out how they would organise certain props, and they also did a fantastic job at that. I know I'm being very vague so just take my word on this: NeeTroo's contributions to the team may significantly speed up development of the post-night sections for Evergreen. But we'll see how things go!"

Oblitus Casa

Another major FNAF fangame in 2022, Oblitus Casa! Based on Five Nights at Treasure Island and is the official final chapter in the FNaTI story. With new gameplay, better graphics, and atmospheric sound design, we promise to bring FNaTI to its ultimate conclusion. Welcome back to the island.

The game mechanics are not too complicated while the high volume of enemies movements in the late game made it fun as well as some side quests/minigames added its replay value! Overall it's relatively challenging in the late game, although the v1.0.1 patch has nerfed something.

FNAF Security Breach Xbox launch

After almost 1 year of the initial release, the Xbox version is finally here! Five Nights at Freddy's Security Breach is out on Xbox Series X/S and Xbox One on November 22nd. Other than this, Steel Wool Studios also mentioned about FNAF Security Breach RUIN (upcoming DLC) and the developer team. Check out their full post here. 

FREDBEAR AND FRIENDS 3.0

This game is unfortunately gets cancelled. Rarithlynx, the creator of the series has confirmed that mainly because of extremely busy schedule and the game development is time consuming. 

"Second of all, I'm no longer interested in FNaF whatsoever, and I've lost all motivation to make more content for the community. I've said this before, but there is practically no desire for my games, with the exception of the occasional comment once a month or so. I've never felt recognised in the FNaF space, and although I've never made games to be popular, I'd be dumb to not take the offer of being able to work on something that is not only easier and way more fun to create, but also gives me much more recognition in return.

Third of all, believe it or not, I'm really not that good at game development. Fredbear and Friends 3.0 was meant to be sort of my 'redemption arc' type of game, but while testing it, it honestly felt like a mess. While a million times better and more balanced than Reboot, it was still very clunky and had a lot of similar issues. Really the game is just a running simulator with little mechanics, all of which can be rather confusing. Also the plot made absolutely no sense. So to be honest if it makes you feel any better, you didn't lose out on much at all, except for being very disappointed on launch." - Rarithlynx

WEEKEND_ Retribution

It was planned to debut the first trailer at Fangame Direct in November 2022, unfortunately it got pulled out of the event completely.

"A few months ago, we started remaking everything from scratch, as you have seen by our updated office. Every model has been updated and redone. We were just not able to get a trailer thrown together in time, and I didn’t wanna just rush something out. I want something worthy of your time. We ARE still making a trailer, it will just be released on a future date. I apologize to you guys, I know many of you were looking forward to seeing the trailer." - Cyesine (the creator)

Five Nights at Freddy's News Round Up July 5, 2025

Cleithrophobia The developer, Diamond Rider announced that the spinoff prequel game Cleithrophobia: Fallfest has been cancelled due to scheduling error with other people who collab with this project. But there's a good news, Cleithrophobia is still in active development with a redesigned map in the works. In the past month, the developer also published a lot of screenshot behind the scenes like WIP Fredbear, animation, revealing scrapped Springbonnie and Fredbear models, and some testing samples. FNAF: Secret of the Mimic - New Gameplay Footage Silently Released!

Steel Wool Studios has quietly uploaded several gameplay videos for the upcoming title Five Nights at Freddy's: Secret of the Mimic (releasing on June 13, 2025) to  their Youtube channel , however, the videos are currently set to unlisted. At the same time, the FNAF / ScottGames X account  posted a few cryptic clips that appear to hint at the Youtube links to these gameplay videos, along with some accompanying screenshots. There are three new gameplay videos featured: one showcases the Jackie chase, which is likely the same demo shown at PAX West 2024; another shows the Dollie emerges from molten steel and chasing, which appears to be new; and the third one is a Maestro Music Man chase scene set in an area with a bunch of mannequins.
